An industry that contributes $3.5B in GDP and supports more than 70K jobs is in grave danger as a result of zero revenues and a bleak forecast resulting from the pandemic. In fact, a new CLMA survey suggests more than 90-percent of venue operators, concert promoters and affiliated support industries are facing a death sentence without fast-tracked emergency funding.

The 'Encore' program is available each quarter for the duration of the pandemic lockdown in Canada. It bumps up payments for live performances on Facebook platforms and the plan is to roll it out to others that musicians are using to broadcast shows over the internet.
